I let the ruffians into my temple overnight. They have sacked the altar and destroyed the Sacred. Dark thoughts and evil whispers fill the halls and breeze past the columns that hold these mental walls. There is an evil that lurks in the darkest recesses of the mind. If left idle, it takes root and disperses itself throughout the crevices, whispering dark thoughts, doubt, usurping our freedom to feel good about anything.

I try to stamp it out with a breathing exercise or by dove-tailing the bad thoughts with a positive one. It gets very difficult and sometimes the ruffians are in the temple bright and early, with the first light. I try to guard the West gate, but lust slips through the cracks. I run to the North gate but doubt has taken hold. The East gate, with all of its luster and shine, glory to the divine light, remains a positive glowing orb of protection. Although a dark scion is able to take the mantle of that seat if the ruffians stay for too long. What are these words but an exercise in allegory and vague references?

We think that because we are here in the physical plane of existence, that there lies a disconnected realm outside of our spirit body. That is just not true. We pull our very essence from the spirit-world while we occupy these corporeal vessels. As Above, So Below. What happens in the temples of our own minds, is also taking place in the great spirit realm where we also inhabit a space or so. There is a great battle happening in both realms. It sounds fictitious but this is a very real battle for the souls of men and women. A point system if you will, of Good vs. Evil. Earth is the battleground! Heaven and Hell exist on Earth at the same time as two potential Maxims. Which one will we feed? Do we let the ruffians into the temple walls at night, laying waste to our good work?
